Students Jimmy and Shaun help Plymouth to a win!

West Cornwall 2-5 Plymouth

Plymouth made it through to the 3rd round of the ESFA National Trophy after a comprehensive victory over West Cornwall.
Plymouth took early control of the game and made their possession work when Owen Raven fired in from 12 yards.
Plymouth then doubled their lead when Will Ford was put through on goal and he drilled the ball home from close range.
Sloppy defending allowed West Cornwall into the game. Skipper and ‘keeper Shaun Hillier made a good initial save, but was unable to prevent the rebound from going in.
Within 2 minutes, Plymouth regained their 2 goal advantage when Jimmy Miller slammed the ball into the bottom corner to make it 1-3 at halftime.
Plymouth then made it 1-4 when Ford got his second of the game, slotting home a well weighted Miller pass.
Miller was involved again soon after, when we set up U14 striker Charlie Holbrook, who volleyed home in his first appearance from Plymouth Schools.
West Cornwall pulled a goal back towards the end of the game but the game had already been won then.

A good game to watch played in the correct spirit by both teams.
Plymouth will host Torbay in the next round.
