U15 ESFA Boys Small Schools National Trophy – Round 2

Looe 1-4 Plymouth Studio School

Plymouth Studio School Year 10 Boys got their season off to a great start against Looe in the second round of the U15 ESFA Boys Small Schools National Trophy. After a bye in the first round, they were drawn away to Looe who were victorious against Falmouth in round 1.

On a difficult playing surface, Studio School started the brighter and took control of the game, with Jimmy-James Miller causing the Looe defence problems from the start. Plymouth took the lead when Max Potilicins finished off a good move from close range.

Owen Marley made it 0-2 from the penalty spot after Jack Barnes was brought down. Marley could have then made it 0-3 from the penalty spot, again after Barnes was brought down, but he ballooned the spot kick over.

Marley soon made up for his miss by finishing off another good Studio School move to make it 0-3.

Looe then started to get into the game late in the second half, and scored from a deflected cross which looped over ‘keeper Shaun Hillier’s head.

Studio School finished the game off well, with Marley completing his hat-trick to make the score 1-4 and ensure that the team progress into round 3.
