U18 Boys Plymouth Schools Cup Final (11-a-side)

Studio School 0-6 Heles

The U18 side unfortunately lost the Plymouth Cup Final to Heles 0-6. Heles were the better team, with a number of players that play at a good (mens) standard and have played for Mr Gill previously in his Plymouth Schools Representative sides.

Alfie Hawking had a great game in goal, although he conceded 6, the score could have been in double figures if it wasn’t for some of his saves.

To give the boys credit, they didn’t give up and should have scored a few goals themselves. Joe Lynch had a couple of good opportunities from corners, Kane Mildren missed a couple of chances as well as hitting the post, and Billy Stewart forced the Heles ‘keeper into a couple of good saves.

It has been a good season with the boys who have won the 7-a-side Central Venue competition, but sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and admit that you had lost to a better team on the day.
